#13 Too Narrow Platform

As far as I know, the narrowest train platform of a station is that of Nakatsu Station, Hankyu train.
There is no home only in Takarazuka Line and the Kobe Line at Nakatsu Station.
In addition, only a local train stops.
The photograph is the platform of Takarazuka Line. The largest place is not over 3 meters.
The outside is larger than the inside of the yellow line.

This is the end of that form. There is only one yellow line anymore.

#12 Address of Osaka-jo Castle

Do you know the address of Osaka-jo ? It is "1-1, Osaka-jo, Chuou-ku, Osaka city."
Here is the evidence. The address plate in front of the main tower.

address.jpg

You could see the Kinzo Treasure House, the Important cultural property, behind.
By the way, its zip code is "540-0002."
Where is "540-0001"? It is Shiromi area, the north of the castle.
However if you want to send a letter to Osaka-jo castle, write only "Osaka-jo Castle Main Tower."
A postman will send it properly.

#11 Glico's signboard

Speaking of Dotombori, a signboard of Glico is a very famous landmark.
It is authorized as a scene of Osaka city though it is the signboard of 1 company.

This turns on at night, but, in fact, this does not readily turn on.
I took this photo at about 5:00 in the winter evening, but only Glico is still dark though all the neighboring signboards are turned on.

IMG_0451.JPG

The purpose of the signboard is to appeal a company and a product.
It is no use if not able to be seen.
Therefore it usually turns on as soon as it becomes dark.
But this signboard is different.
The lighting-up time is fixed.
From 30 minutes later of the sunset to midnight every day.
He is the last runner of the lighting.

It turns on surely 8:00 p.m. in summer, 5:30 p.m. in winter.
Please come after this time.

The background of the runner changes when it turns on.

#10 Benchmark trees

Do you know a benchmark tree ?
It is a tree of the flowering standards in various places, and the Meteorological Agency establishes it.
For example, "the flowering of the cherry tree" is the time when five or six blossoms bloom of the benchmark tree.
If the other cherry tree blooms, it is not recorded with "the flowering".

By the way, there are 12 kinds of benchmark trees of Osaka in Osaka-jo catsle park.
Sakura (cherry tree), ume (Japanese apricot), camellia, hagi (Japanese bush clover), wisteria,  hydrangea, ginkgo and so on.
There are most of the standards of the four seasons of Osaka in this park.

If you want to know the place of the benchmark tree, please ask the guide in the park.
Of course I tell you it, too.

#9 Osaka dialect brick

I found this tile in Dotonbori street, on the side of  "HARIJYU."

osakadialoge.JPG

It is full of Osaka dialects.

From the popular words like "Nandeyanen", "Sukkyanen"
to the shouts like "Eeeeee", "Yosshaaaa",
there are 16 dialects.
There are too many letters to see a picture of the background.

"Don't spend our money on such a worthless thing!"
If Osaka citizen says straightly, look at the left corner.
"This brick is made of sewer grime." in the standard Japanese.

PS: This tile moved to approximately 10 meters east in 2017.
It is in the side of the police box, the south-foot of Ebis Bridge, now.

Some silver spallows live in the Osaka-jo Castle Park.
The park has the area 23 times as large as Tokyo Dome.
Can you find them?

#7 Gozabune, a roofed pleasure boat for nobles

This is a Gozabune ( a pleasure boat ) for sightseeing. It cruises the inner moat of Osaka-jo Castle.

It was one of the commemorative events of "400 years of the Summer Seige of Osaka" last year, and cruises again this year because the reputation was good.

gozabune1.jpg

This golden ship reproduced a ship of Hideyoshi seen in "Osaka-zu byobu, the Japanese folding screen depicting the cityscape of Osaka during the Toyotomi period" found in Austria.
If Hideyoshi lives, he would make a golden ship. So some sheets of pure gold leaf are put on the whole ship.
According to the captain of this ship, "400 years commemoration of the Summer seige of Osaka" was "400 anniversary memorial service of Yodo-dono and her son Hideyori, so this ship was made as the "Toyotomi family's Buddhist altar specifications".

I went on board, too.
On the hot summer day, it was cool on the ship and I felt like a noble lady.
Unfortunately it does not cruise on winter (from December to February) and a day of the stormy weather.
(for 20 minutes, adult 1,500 yen, child 750 yen)

#6 Osaka city cruise

Do you know that the rivers in Osaka flow to surround the town?
From the ancient times, Osaka has been a town of the water.
If you come to Osaka, why don't you look at the town on the water?
You can see the rare scenery such as a bridge girder and the backside, those are never seen from the ground.

I recomend for the Japanese; "Loop line on the river course" of "Naniwa exploration cruise."
The best part is the water gate passage. You can experience it only by ship.
(for 90 minutes, adult 3,000 yen, child 1,000 yen)

Look at the pamphlet with a click. (English ver.)

I recomend for the foreign tourlists; "Tonbori River Cruise."
You can enjoy an atmosphere of Minami in short time.
At the night when a lots of neon shines is the best.
(for 20 minutes, adult 900 yen, child 400 yen)

#5 Fake food goods

The splendid Japanese food sample is famous for a foreigner.
Anyway, it's exactly like the real thing.
You can buy miniature size as a souvenir, Sennichimae Douguyasuji in Osaka or Kappa bashi Dougu Street in Tokyo o.
This is my collection. Very cute!
An orange square thing is my smartphone.
In Osaka Douguyasuji, there is the hands-on tour to make these. (Pay tour)

#4 Vierra Tamatsukuri

This tenant building named "Vierra Tamatsukuri" in the southeast of JR Tamatsukuri Station.
It looks like an orange train which runs through Osaka Loop Line.

viera_tamatukuri .JPG

Seeing from the side, windows don't form a line.
In fact, this is a score of a nursery rhyme "Mary Had a Little Lamb".
Every window is a note.

viera_side.JPG
mi re do re mi mi mi re re re mi so so, mi re do re mi mi mi re re mi re do

Why is it this song?
It is because the departure melody of this station is "Mary Had a Little Lamb".
